In spring of 2003, Bob Clark and I learned of a new Lavender Albino Ball Python in Africa. As we began negotiating to get her, we found out that she was gravid. When she arrived, she was very thin, but I could palpate 7 eggs in her. Within 3 weeks of her arrival, she laid 6 good eggs and one infertile. The eggs were incubated and we hatched 6 heterozygous babies. This Albino is very different from the more common form of albinism. The white areas have a nice lavender color and the eyes are a very deep, ruby red.
