Tiger Retics are largely responsible for the rise in popularity of reticulated pythons. They have docile temperaments and make excellent captives. Tiger Reticulated Pythons are a beautifully high contrast animals colored with gold and black. The gene is co-dominant. When a Tiger Retic is bred to a normal, 50% of the babies will be Tiger. When Tigers are bred together, you will get 25%Super Tigers, 50% Tigers and 25% normals. Tiger is the heterozygous condition of Super Tiger. Super Tiger is the homozygous. There are no normal appearing hets or possible het with a gene that is inherited in this way. |
