How many babies were in there..WOW I didn't realize how many a snake can have, also what is the gestation period on a female, when is breeding season.I just got a Dumerils Boa 3 weeks ago he hasn't ate yet :( He's gorgeous but not sure how old he is? He's 26 inches long. He's starting to shed I think his scales are coming off on his belly is that shedding? I'm a new snake owner sorry for allt he questions. What kind of snakes are those, the babies?

HI,
Dumerils need a little more humidity the others. If the belly of your dumeril is coming off and the rest of the shed isn't. You may want to soak her. How you do that is, Take a plastic bowl with a lid. (like a glad/ or ziplock) Put some holes in it. Put the snake in it and add some warm water. Make sure the snake has room to breath. Let her sit for 30 min. This should help.
As far as eating, Most snake will not eat when shedding or in the blue. Which is when there eye are covered.
Dumerils are a hardy snake. What did the person say about her eating when you got her?
Was her eating F/T or live?
Hope this helps.
