PETA has now officially dropped down to an all new level of pathetic. Their now trying to save the rabbits from an "evil" teenage store that sell rabbit fur clothing. Heres the link to this http://streetteam.peta2.com/public/folder_view.cfm?pageid=341&option=view_thread&postid=1252686&folderid=5547

FYI: PETA has always been against any animal fur industry, nothing new about this. Personally I don't totally disagree with them on this issue. There is animal abuse in the industry and it's not propaganda as some may think. I've been inside animal laboratories, slaughterhouses and much cruelty and abuse exists in the industry. Their videos are actually a reality and not made up. Although some on this site keep wanting to tell everyone that untruth.

Wearing fur is a status symbol in the immature mind and I believe people need to grow up and realize it's an unnecessary luxury, which we can do without.

Sorry, just couldn't resist responding to another PETA knockdown.

Well at least PETA's getting so ridiculous with the things they're saying that people outside of the animal industry are becoming skeptical about them. Today my manager at work said that on the radio it said that PETA was claiming it was better for children in school to drink beer instead of milk. Hopefully it will get to the point that they end up killing the organization with some of these outrageous claims.

well the thing that bothered me is that they they have farms for these animals and its in no way hurting the wild population. if you want to get into animal cruelty anything could be animal cruelty. PETA think us feeding our snakes is being cruel to animals. When that rat running around ur house and finally gets caught in the rat trap THATS animal cruelty. I do agree though that it is an unneccessary luxury but they take it to extremes even every once in awhile assault.

The idiotic stances they take outnumber the good ones in my opinion. but hey... to each their own. There's plenty of trees to hug.

Not to mention the fact that they give money to the creeps who commit arson or environmental disasters by releasing non nativ animals from farms.

hey juniper. do you were leather gym shoes or a leather coat? or ever worm a wool sweater? if so you are not someone that peta would call a friend. killing endangered animals for fur is one thing but if the animals are farm raised none endangered animals big deal. ie. cows for meat and leather. lamb for meat and wool. and before you go off singing the praises of peta just remember if it was up to them you wouldn't be able to own your reptiles. they are totally against ownership of animals.

Juniper, some people say Hitler had good ideas but the way he went about executing them was wrong. Would you agree with that? Would you say PETA fits into this category?

The idea that started PETA aint bad at all.I mean evry living thing deserves to be treated well .But I dont support any group that supports arson or murder or some of the other stunts that PETA has funded. If you do some digging You will find that PETA has donated money to groups Like ELF who is listed by the FBI as a domestic terrest group. So PETA is no better then the taliban. There are better groups who are better watch dogs then PETA.So as far as treating captive animals well I am with the bunny huggers some what. But as far as eco-nazies nope .
