      largest Colubrid

What would you say is the "largest" colubrid, in both new and old world. I am looking for something that is attainable. I know that Indigo's are the largest in N. America, but are pretty pricey and require a permit. I hear Cribos are the larges all around, but I have never been able to find C.B. babies, or wild caughts at a reasonalbe price. So would that leave Pines/Gophers/bulls as largest in new world and Beauty snakes largest in Old World?

Ptyas carinatus is the largest, although not exactly what you'd call obtainable.

      Here's my male:

He is 10 feet long, give or take an inch. I am yet to find a bigger colubrid than him.

By not obtainable i mean this animal is the only one within a private European collection and probably American too. They are hard to get.

      Longest or Heaviest?...

...even a 12' ratsnake is not as heavy as say a 7-8' cribo or indigo...
