      Tank Sizes

      Hey Guys:
It's been a while since I posted, hope everyone is well.
I have a question, well 2 kind of.
I just bought a TV stand ($25 at a yard sale), it has 2 compartments, which I am hoping are big enough to house the snakes I have/want.
I currently have a Hog Island Boa, she is just over a year old.
      Is a 33L x 19W x 32H big enough for an adult hog island?
And also, I was planning on getting an ATB as they require a more vertical tank, would the 21L x 19W x 32H be big enough for an ATB?
Thanks in advance, have a good night all.

Fishtanks are for fish not boas. Build or buy a proper enclosure for it.
If everybody was as awesome as I am, I would just be average.

      Viv sizes

      Hey Dino:
Nowhere in my post did I say anything about a fishtank... :P
I was just wondering if those measurements suited those snakes as adults.

The sizes do well for juveniles. However, my main concern would be with heat...32" is a lot of vertical space to heat. Temps and humidity look like nightmares to figure out...

And adult hogg female should probably still be kept in a 4'x2' like most other boas. I think that a 3'x2' would be fine...I just prefer to go a little bit bigger if I can. You can use the 33"x19" for now, but you'd probably need to upgrade within a year or two. The dimensions for the ATB are acceptable into adulthood...but then again, I'm looking at a 6' snake in a small, but tall enclosure. ATBs tend to be a little more active (in my experience) than ETBs or GTPs...so, again, I'd still look for bigger dimensions by the time the snake reaches adulthood.

      I hope that helps.

It does, I was just trying to maximize this TV unit I purchased, and avoid building another enclosure if I did not have to. I suppose I could always use the big side for an ATB, the smaller side for storage or something, and use one of my 4x2 for the Hog, and move my cornsnake to a 3x2x2.
      Thanks guys.

My adult female Hog is in a 4x2' enclosure... She MIGHT be bumped up to a 6x2' because she is a large female for a hog
